README.TXT for iSilo 3.1 (2/21/02)
----------------------------------
Version 3.1 addresses the following issues:
- Documents whose names contained certain characters such as the
colon character (':') would not beam in Palm OS 4.x.
- Alphabetizing bookmarks in Doc documents with more than several
bookmarks would result in a "Chunk over-locked" message.
- Performing a page up would result in a fatal exception and a
reset if the line before the current first line has a horizontal
  rule.
- Blocks with non-zero left or right margins and a non-zero
top/bottom margin would draw with an incomplete background
for the top/bottom margin in the left and right margin areas.
- The document list view would not be updated if a document was
deleted through the Details dialog and the document was opened
  using the Information dialog.

Version 3.1 adds the following new features:
- Hardware button configuration: The four hardware buttons
(Date Book, Address, To Do List, and Memo Pad/Note Pad),
pushing of the jog dial/wheel, and the auxiliary/back button
can be individually assigned to perform any of the following
  actions:
    - Back
    - Forward
    - Line up
    - Line down
    - Scroll left
    - Scroll right
    - Bookmarks: Pop up the bookmark list
    - Autoscroll: Start and stop
In the read view, go to the Options menu and tap the Button
menu item to access the Button Options dialog to configure
the hardware buttons, jog dial/wheel, and auxiliary/back
button to any of the available actions.
- Autoscroll: This scrolls the content at any of twenty possible
  speeds.
    - In the read view, go to the Tools menu and tap
the Autoscroll menu item to start autoscroll.
    - Use the page up/page down or jog dial/wheel to change
      the speed.
    - To change from smooth autoscroll to line-at-a-time
autoscroll, go to the Options menu, tap the Scroll
menu item, uncheck the autoscroll checkbox in the
Smooth field, and then tap OK.
- Tool bar activiation: When the tool bar is hidden, you can now
also activate it by tapping in the lower left of the screen.

The iSilo.prc program file serves as both the 30-day trial version
and the registered version of the software. If you would like
to continue to use iSilo beyond the 30-day trial period, you can
find information on purchasing from <http://www.iSilo.com>. After
you make your purchase, you receive a license registration code
that you enter into iSilo to convert its status to registered.

Please visit the support page at the iSilo website at
<http://www.iSilo.com> for frequently asked questions and knowledge
base articles.

If you would like to create your own documents for iSilo, you can
use iSiloX. More information about iSiloX can be found at its
website at <http://www.iSiloX.com>.

If you encounter any problems or issues that are not answered in
the manual or in the support section of the website, you may send
an email to email@iSilo.com. When reporting problems, please
include all potentially relevant details, including the exact
steps used to reproduce the problem, OS version, and hardware
configuration.

iSilo 3.1 will coexist with iSilo 2.x on the same device because it
uses a different creator ID and name (noted next).

The iSilo 3.1 application is named "iSilo", whereas the iSilo 2.x
application is named "i S i l o" (e.g., there is a space between each
letter), and so iSilo 3.1 will appear alphabetically after iSilo 2.x.
